Good Friday 15 April

We make our journey north for a morning stop at the Denby Pottery Village, Derby. Wander around the beautiful shops, café and experience the 200 years of craftsmanship in action during a tour of the factory. You will be welcomed by our experienced Tour Guides, who will lead you through the working factory where you'll discover the different techinques and processes used to create your favourite Denby pieces. We arrive at our hotel, Derby Midland Best Western Signature Collection, in time to settle in before dinner.


Saturday 16 April

This morning we will visit Cromford Mills, home to Sir Richard Arkwright’s first mill complex and birthplace of the modern factory system, built in 1771. Come and explore how this infamous site changed the world we live in today - as well as experience the visitor centre, cafe, shops and nature walks too. Step back in time this afternoon into the world of the Crich Tramway Village, home of the National Tramway Museum. Ride on the world renowned vintage trams through the unique period streets and out into the open countryside for spectacular views, explore fascinating exhibitions and watch as trams are restored from the Workshop Viewing Gallery. This captivating journey into history is made complete with a stroll on the fascinating Woodland Walk and Sculpture Trail and a trip to the unique Red Lion Pub, tearooms and shops.

Sunday 17 April

On Easter Sunday we will be taking a morning trip to Matlock Bath. Always popular with motorcyclists for a meet up on Easter Sunday, we take the cable car for a ride across the Heights of Abraham with lovely views across the deep valley.
We return to the hotel for a delicious Sunday roast and time to relax or make use of the hotel leisure facilities.
This evening a light buffet supper will be served.

Monday 18 April

Experience ‘The English Versailles’ at Boughton House. Discover one of Britain’s grandest and best-preserved stately homes. As well as the splendours of the House, you can also enjoy the 18th-century landscaped gardens, woodlands and a grand country park. Discover the house at your leisure to take in the many beautiful and ornate rooms. You will also have free-time to explore the grounds at leisure. We then make our way back home, arriving late afternoon.
