Monday 21 March

Today we enjoy discovering RHS Garden Rosemoor. Nestled in the Torridge Valley, Rosemoor is an enchanting place to visit in every season. The garden is rich in horticultural heritage and could be said to have two faces: one designed more recently by the RHS and the other created over time.
As a visitor, you will experience the newest areas first, beginning with the multi-faceted Formal Garden and then the Stream Field and Lake to the north. These in turn lead toward the South West and Devon Orchards and the very popular Fruit and Vegetable Garden. Walking through the Underpass you discover the contrasting original garden of Lady Anne Berry, which consists of many garden 'rooms' that blend seamlessly into one.

Tuesday 22 March

We spend today at leisure in Barnstaple. Perhaps you will choose to visit Pannier Market which is situated in one of Barnstaple’s most iconic buildings, with antiques and collectables on offer, or take a stroll around the town or take a walk on the South West Coast Path by the River Taw.

Wednesday 23 March

This morning we visit the Cliff side towns of Lynton & Lynmouth. The picturesque villages are situated on the spectacular North Devon coast in one of England’s last remaining tranquil areas, Exmoor. Picturesque Lynmouth provides a romantic escape from modern living with its rows of charming fishing cottages and shops that cluster around the pretty harbour of gently bobbing boats. Lynton perched high above is a vibrant Victorian village retaining a quaint mix of times present and times past.

Lynton & Lynmouth are elegantly connected by the Cliff Railway, the highest and steepest fully water powered Victorian railway in the World!

This afternoon we travel to Ilfracombe, the picturesque seaside town is surrounded by beaches famous for the tunnels beaches carved by hand in the 1820’s the four tunnels where used by the Victorians to segregate men, women, girls and boys on their way to the beach. With the afternoon at your leisure you can visit the aquarium or browse the art galleries, shops and cafes.

Thursday 24 March

Today we visit Knightshayes (NT) with acres of glorious garden and park, surrounding a spectacular Gothic Revival house, Knightshayes is the complete country gentleman's dream. The house is a rare example of the work of William Burges, whose lavish designs have always inspired extremes of opinion. Full of quirks and curiosities, it is a house of many faces.
